But here’s the thing—not every job gets applied to. Our system calculates a relevance score based on your skills, experience, and preferences, and only hits “apply” if the score clears your set threshold.

Adjusting the match threshold is key. If you’re receiving applications to roles that feel off, raise the bar. If activity feels slow, lower it a touch. It’s about fine-tuning to your pace.

How to Configure Smart Apply

1. Log into the Chrome extension and open your dashboard.
2. Choose “Smart Apply” mode from the automation settings.
3. Set your daily application limit (we recommend 10-15 to start).
4. Adjust the match threshold (start around 75%).
5. Select your preferred industries and locations.
6. Optionally, add salary expectations to filter jobs further.

This mode is great when you want to be picky about companies or roles without manually searching yourself.

Hit “approve” to send applications or “reject” to skip. There’s also an “approve similar” toggle to speed up future decisions.

Sometimes automation can’t capture the nuances of a specific opportunity. Maybe it’s a dream job that needs a tailored cover letter or requires extra materials like portfolios. Manual Override lets you pause automation for particular searches or jobs, so you can take over.

You can toggle automation on or off for each search without losing your overall setup. This way, you keep your workflow flexible without starting from scratch.

Using Manual Override

1. Go to your dashboard and find the job search or application list.
2. Locate the “Automation Status” toggle next to the chosen search.
3. Switch it to “Manual” to pause automation for those items.
4. Submit applications manually with your personalized content.
5. Switch back to automation when ready.
